On Thursday, February 2, we welcomed Anna Glass, Executive Director of Dance Theater of Harlem, and Bonita Hamilton, Broadway actor and producer known for her role as Shenzi in The Lion King on Broadway for an engaging discussion on Black performance art and obstacles faced by Black artists today. Moderated by Manatt partner Binta Niambi Brown, the conversation highlighted the Black community’s contributions to arts and culture and further emphasized that representation in creative spaces matters.
