Reimagining Allyship in Your Pro Bono Efforts
To honor this year’s Black History Month theme of "Black Resistance,"
ManattCares is thrilled to invite and learn from June and Angie Provost, owners of Provost Farm.
Featured in The New York Times’ award-winning podcast, “The 1619 Project,” and recipient of the 2022 Illuminating Injustice Award by Public Justice, they will share their inspiring story on how pro bono efforts helped them fight systemic racism and inequitable business practices to maintain ownership of their 5,000-acre sugarcane farm passed down to them through generations of slavery.
It is poignant, underscores the very real issues we all must reconcile, and demonstrates ways we can activate our allyship through advocacy.
