The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Part 1 of 2)
In writing the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey researched the last 200 years of success literature and found that in the last 50 years, most “success” books have been focused on the personality vs character ethics (how to appear vs. how to actually be). Character ethics means aligning one’s values with universal and timeless principles. Covey presents his teachings in a series of habits, manifesting as a progression from dependence to independence on to interdependence.
This video book summary covers the first three habits that focus moving from dependence to independence: 1 - Be Proactive, 2 - Begin With the End in Mind, and 3 - Put First Things First.
